About Academy Winter 2027
Step through the looking glass and help bring a brand-new musical to life! Heartless is an original reimagining of the world before Wonderland, exploring how love, ambition, fear, and the choices we make can shape our destiny. Students will have the rare opportunity to originate roles, develop characters, and help create a new theatrical work from the ground up while strengthening their skills in acting, singing, storytelling, and collaboration. Through themes of identity, empathy, resilience, and the consequences of our actions, Heartless perfectly reflects Porch Light’s mission of #BuildingCharacters—challenging young artists to grow not only as performers, but as thoughtful leaders and creative problem-solvers.
About The Academy
The Academy Program for grades 6-12 focuses on building characters through immersive performing arts training, guiding young performers on journeys of self-discovery and transformation. Through comprehensive rehearsals and workshops, students develop their acting, singing, and dancing skills while exploring complex narratives and diverse characters. The program culminates in fully-staged productions, showcasing the artistic growth and dynamic talents of our participants as they bring powerful stories to life.
