Mean Girls invites students to explore the power of kindness, authenticity, and standing up for what’s right while bringing this hilarious and high-energy Broadway hit to the stage. Through acting, singing, dancing, and ensemble collaboration, performers will examine themes of friendship, self-confidence, inclusion, and the impact our choices have on others. At Porch Light, students will develop strong performance skills while learning that true leadership comes from lifting others up and staying true to who you are.
The Academy Program for grades 6-12 focuses on building characters through immersive performing arts training, guiding young performers on journeys of self-discovery and transformation. Through comprehensive rehearsals and workshops, students develop their acting, singing, and dancing skills while exploring complex narratives and diverse characters. The program culminates in fully-staged productions, showcasing the artistic growth and dynamic talents of our participants as they bring powerful stories to life.
