A Journey of Heart, Courage, and Legacy! Take a walk on the wild side as we bring the epic story of The Lion King Jr to the Porch Light stage! In this vibrant, music-filled production, young performers in grades 2-5 will explore the African savanna through bold movement, beautiful harmonies, and a celebration of community and identity. This beloved tale of Simba’s journey becomes a powerful playground for creativity and self-discovery. With unforgettable songs like “Hakuna Matata” and “I Just Can’t Wait to Be King,” students will learn storytelling through sound, rhythm, and ensemble performance — all while building lifelong skills and friendships. About Academy Junior
Welcome to Academy Jr, where young performers in grades 2-5 embark on a journey of creativity and self-discovery through theatre! Our program blends the excitement of performance with the art of character building, all set against a theme of journeys and transformations. Students explore acting, singing, and dancing in a fun, cool and welcoming space. They'll dive into vibrant characters, learn catchy tunes, and learn dynamic choreography that brings stories to life. Through interactive workshops and rehearsals, participants not only develop their stage skills but also build confidence, teamwork, and a deep appreciation for the arts.
